1. Hey, you guys are one of the most affordable cleaning options I have found! How do you keep your prices so low?

We price according to our cleaning packages, which means we do not charge per hour, per staff member, or per sq ft. We then transfer these savings to you.

2. Nice. What payment methods do you accept?

We take Square (credit card required, price will include fees charged by Square), PayPal, and if you are a regular client, we are happy to accept checks or cash as well. *Certainly restrictions apply due to promotions

3. Alright. Hey, I found a Groupon for your services. Can I get the same deal directly from you?

Our Groupon prices are a special offer for new/first-time clients only who are interested in seeing whether Brite Maid Services is a good fit for their cleaning needs. However, we do offer a wide variety of promotions when you buy directly from us, please contact us for details.

4. Cool. Can I buy more than one Groupon?

Groupons are for first time clients only who are looking for a general cleaning (please see fine print on Groupon deal page for our services). If you have purchased more than one Groupon for our services though, no stress! You can always gift the Groupon to another first-time client (we have found moms and grandmoms especially appreciate this gesture), and purchase a service directly from us, for which you will receive 50% off that can be used towards the same cleaning.

5. Awesome! How soon can I get my service appointment?

We advise all our new clients, whether they buy directly from us or purchase a Groupon, to contact us as soon as possible. While we do our best to accommodate every request, we cannot guarantee same-week availability, given that our regular clients have priority access to preferred dates and usually schedule repeat cleanings with us on a weekly, bi-weekly, tri-weekly, or monthly basis.

6. Can I get appointments in the evening, or the weekend, or major holidays?

Our last service appointment, Monday-Saturday, is 1pm-4pm. Our staff do not undertake service appointments after dark. Saturday appointments are available for a $15 additional fee. 7. Nice. Do I need to be home for the cleaning to take place?

It is completely your preference. Most of our clients prefer to be out of the way, so that a more complete cleaning can be provided. You can always leave a key for us in an accessible spot or a neighbor, rent a lockbox from us, provide us with an access code, or grant permission via your concierge. Some of our clients do choose to be home, and our staff are more than happy to undertake the work under these conditions as well. Please note that changes to the service appointment can be made only via email. This is why we request our clients to fill out a thorough service questionnaire prior to confirming all appointments. Please email our office if you have any day-of requests or questions regarding your cleaning appointment.

8. Okay. What is included in a general cleaning?

Great Question! Please refer to this service list. Add-on prices are available for any items you would like to include, such as cleaning your refrigerator, oven, or cabinets. Please note all our services offered on Groupon are general cleanings ONLY, and therefore Groupons cannot be used towards move-in, move-out, post-construction, customized deep cleanings or empty properties.

9. I will be moving out soon. There are just boxes in my apartment, and maybe one piece of furniture. Can I request a general cleaning, so as to comply with my rental/tenant agreement?

We consider any home that is mostly empty of furniture a move-in or move-out client. General cleanings are services provided with all furniture in place: our staff will not move heavy furniture or remove dust under or behind wall decor or furniture. More solvent, time, and labor is required for a home of any size that is mostly empty of furniture, and we have found that most rental companies or landlords prefer a move-in or move-out cleaning to satisfy their policies.We will be more than happy to provide you with a customized basic empty property cleaning. 10. What is included in “common areas”?

Common areas include only 1 living room, 1 kitchen, 1 dining room (basement and other rooms are extra; only rooms specified in deal are applicable; no substituting), I hallway, 1 foyer, and one flight of stairs, if your bedroom is on another floor.

11. What if I need to cancel last minute?

Brite Maid Services charges a same-day cancellation fee of $25. Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance should you need to cancel. A cancellation fee will apply if our staff are greeted by a client “no-show” or client refusal to grant access to our staff. Please contact us 24 hours in advance of your previously scheduled appointment should you foresee any difficulties with allowing your service appointment to take place.

12. Alright. Will you remove trash from my property?

Standard trash will be removed only. Not to exceed two gallon sized trash bags. Trash will be removed to county-approved receptacles. Please indicate in your service appointment questionnaire if there are specific instructions our staff are to follow regarding trash disposal at your property.

13. Will you change my bed linens?

As long as you leave them out for us on the bed in question!

14. Awesome! Will you do my dishes?

For general cleanings, we request that only minimal dishes, pots, or cutlery are left in the sink. Our staff are trained to hand-wash items that are left in the sink, and will leave them drying on paper towels next to the sink. A large pile of dishes/an overflowing sink will incur additional charges. For optimum results, please ensure your dishes are put away in the dishwasher. Brite Maid Services will not treat dishes left on the stove or inside the oven as items that are to be cleaned, unless explicit notes are provided by the client when filling out the service appointment questionnaire.

15. Okay. Now that I think about it, there is a room in my house I would prefer for you guys to not clean. There is also an antique cabinet I prefer to clean by myself. How can we handle this?

Simple: to ensure our staff only access areas of your home or property that you are comfortable with, please inform us of the same when you respond to our service appointment questionnaire. Also, please feel free to leave post-its on any items or on the closed doors of any rooms you would prefer for us to not enter.

16. I really liked my experience with you guys. How can I schedule regular or periodic cleanings?

18. Cool. Do I have to leave a tip?

Tips are appreciated but are in no way expected. If leaving a tip as cash, please leave the same in a sealed envelope marked “Brite Maid Services-tip” and the service appointment date, and we will ensure that the same is split fairly among the team members who serviced your property or home.

19. Oops! Just realized I really need the spare bedroom cleaned, and you guys are scheduled to come today. Can I add the spare bedroom to the service appointment now?

All item add-on requests received on the same day as your scheduled appointment are processed on a case by case basis. While it is our priority to meet the last-minute needs of our clients, please be advised that a surcharge may be applicable, as determined by scheduling staff, based on schedule congestion, staff availability, and level of demand.

20. I forgot to tell you guys-- there's a broken lamp on my dresser that I have been meaning to glue back but haven't gotten around to yet. Will the cleaners know what to do with it?

If the staff encounter an item that is in questionable condition (ie broken item/ torn item/ damaged goods), the staff are trained to pause services then take and send pictures of the damaged item(s) to HQ. Our office will then contact you regarding how best to proceed regarding the item. In order to ensure the cleaning appointment is completed safely and efficiently, please do provide any and all special care instructions, including existing broken or damaged furniture or household items, to BMS at the time of booking your service appointment.  

21. Hey, so I got an email/phone-call from your company stating that my cleaning appointment could not be completed as scheduled. Why did this happen?

If our staff encounter a property that is in overwhelming disarray, meaning that our staff have to sort, organize, or move items, furniture, clothing, or waste material in order to provide services, then BMS staff will take and send pictures of the property status to HQ in order to determine whether or not the property falls outside of the parameters of a general cleaning service appointment. (Please refer to this service list for more details regarding the types of cleanings we offer. ) HQ will then follow up with the client via one of our supervisors to determine the appropriate next steps, which could involve service cancellation, service rescheduling, or a service upgrade (pending availability of staff and resources).

22. Can I cancel my appointment?
Sure, cancellation of service (direct buy or voucher) is required by notice (via email) 24 hours prior to service. In the event you need to cancel, the company will be happy to reschedule you. This is subject to availability and scheduling. Same day cancellations (within 24 hours of the agreed upon) will automatically forfeit the voucher or a reschedule fee of $25 for same day cancellation is only payable via Credit Card over the phone if you wish to reschedule. At which the client will be given options to reschedule the appointment. Same day cancellation rescheduling will be at the discretion of Brite-Maid-Services. The voucher company may not refund your voucher if you cancel under the 24 hour cancellation policy.
